Thomas Roofing & Building is a roofing contractor based in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, covering South Wales. This page explains what happens to your details when you use our roof cost calculator or get in touch, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain English because that is how we would want it explained to us.
Anything in this policy, or anything about your details, comes straight to us:
If you use the calculator and ask for your estimate, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, the answers you chose about your roof, and the estimate figure the calculator produced. If you ticked the optional message box, we get that too.
If you arrived here from one of our adverts, the enquiry also carries a click reference and campaign labels from the advert. These tell us which advert brought you in. They do not tell us anything else about you.
Your answers travel from the calculator to the estimate page inside your own browser only. They are never put in the web address.
One reason: to show you your estimate and get in touch about your enquiry. You tick a box on the form to say you are happy for us to contact you. We never sell your details and we never pass them to anyone else for their marketing.
Your enquiry is stored by Netlify, the company that hosts this website, and sent to us by email. We also keep a copy in our own records so we can look after your enquiry properly. That is it.
When you first visit, no analytics or advertising cookies are set. A banner asks you to accept or reject them, and either answer is remembered.
If you accept, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, and Google Ads to measure whether our adverts work. If you accept and then send an enquiry, your email address and phone number are also shared with Google in a scrambled, unreadable form, purely so Google can match the enquiry to the advert you clicked. Google cannot read the details themselves.
If you reject, none of that happens and the site works exactly the same.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back on your next visit.
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that comes from it. If you want your details removed sooner, ask, and we will delete them.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us using the details above and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If we change how we handle your details, this page changes with it, along with the date at the top.
